Colorado crash reports
We do not yet publish Colorado crash records. Colorado State Patrol reports come from its Central Records Unit, usually within 10 working days, and city reports come from the city police. Here is where to ask and what you need.
How to get your Colorado crash report
Who can get the report
The Colorado State Patrol does not publish a list of who may get a crash report. Ask the Central Records Unit whether you can receive the report you need.
Where to request it
For a crash the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) handled, request the report from the CSP Central Records Unit through the CSP Records Request Portal, linked from the CSP crash information page.
If you reported the crash yourself through the CSP online crash reporting system, the Colorado Department of Revenue holds that report: call 303-205-5600.
For a crash on city streets, ask the city police department. In Denver, that is the Denver Police Department Records Unit.
