How to get your North Dakota crash report

Who can get the report

The public may buy a North Dakota crash report. When you buy, you state which of four roles applies to you: a party to the crash, a legal representative, an insurer, or not a party. A false statement is a crime under state law.

Where to request it

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) sells crash reports through its online store, run by Prime Public Safety. The Highway Patrol and city departments such as the Fargo Police Department send requesters to the NDDOT store; the old mail-in form is no longer used.
