Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information My Crash Report LLC collects through MyCrashReport, why, who receives it and what you can ask us to do with it.
Crash records
Crash records on this site come from public data published by states and cities. We do not show names, license plates or driver's license numbers, and a person under 18 is shown only as under 18. You can ask us to take a record off this site on Remove a record.
What we collect
- When you ask for a consultation: your first and last name, phone number, email if you give one, the state, county and city of the crash, your answers on the form, the law firm shown to you, and a record of your consent: the exact text you agreed to, the time, and your IP address and browser.
- When you use a request form (remove a record, do not contact, do not sell): only what you enter, such as a record id, a reason, a phone number or an email.
- When you browse: our servers keep standard request logs, such as the page requested, the time and the IP address, to keep the site running and secure.
Who we share it with
A consultation request is shared with the law firm you chose, or the firm assigned to you at random from those listed, and is used by My Crash Report LLC to call you to confirm your request and connect you, exactly as disclosed on the form. We do not share it with any other firm or company, except service providers that host the site or place calls for us under contract, or where the law requires it.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), sending your request to a participating firm, which pays for the advertising on this site, may count as a sale or sharing of personal information. You can opt out on Do not sell or share my personal information.
How long we keep it
- Consultation requests and consent records: five years, as evidence of consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
- Do-not-contact numbers: for as long as we place calls, so we never call that number again.
- Removal and privacy requests: for as long as we need them to apply and show that we applied them.
- Server request logs: for a short period, for security.
Cookies
At launch, the site uses no advertising or analytics cookies. It uses no cookies beyond any needed for a single browsing session.
Your California rights
If you live in California, you may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to delete it, to correct it, and to stop selling or sharing it. We will not treat you differently for asking. We answer within 45 days. To stop calls and texts, use Do not contact me.
Contact for requests
Send privacy requests through the Contact page, or use Do not sell or share my personal information for an opt-out. We may ask you to confirm the phone number or email you used so that we act only on your own information.
